Match report WCC starts a new chapter in 2015 making it's debut in WCL against Fredrick CC. Ankit, the new captain of WCC won the toss and without hesitation chose to bat first.The pitch was a batsman's nightmare and saying that it was soggy would be an understatement.The new opening pair of Sameer and Viral started off cautiously as batting was not easy.Almost every other ball was keeping low and the outfield was thick.Both batsman ran well between the wickets, rotated the strike well and hit the odd boundary.After giving an excellent start, Sameer(16) fell and in went TC.TC did not waste any time in making his mark. He pulled and drove with authority and looked very aggressive. On the the other end Viral(51) played a very patient innings and showed that he has the temperament and the technique to adjust his game according to the conditions. He departed soon after reaching is 50 and WCC was in a strong position with around 70 at the half way mark.AB replaced Viral but and did what he does best, rotate strike. TC (38) soon fell and by then WCC was in a formidable position. Thoufiq(0),Kal(1),Palash(0) and Jagga(0) all fell quickly trying to up the scoring.AB(13) and Pratik(2) remained not out and WCC amassed a massive 151 in 20 overs. It was more like 300 for Frederick given the conditions and the bowling attack of WCC.

Jagga and Sam shared the new ball and both bowled an impeccable line. Jagga was too good for Frederick and was very unlucky to go wicketless. On the other end Sam got rid of both their openers.Soon after Kiran was introduced into the attack and he was outstanding. He actually bowled a couple of bouncers on a lifeless pitch and it was a treat to watch him bowl.As expected there was not much resistance from Frederick. Ankit made sure everybody got to bowl and Palash and AB each got a wicket in what was a fun filled fielding session.Frederick managed to score only 56 and a massive victory for WCC. Congrats WCC for it's first win in WCL.
